Sports: Lawyers team leave for India to feature in Lawyers Cricket World Cup

ISLAMABAD: An eleven-member Pakistan Lawyers Cricket Team departed from Wagha Border for India on Sunday to feature in the 4th Lawyers Cricket World Cup that starts in Delhi from Monday.

According to Pakistan Lawyers’ team spokesman and senior player Wasif Zaman six more players would proceed to India on Tuesday after getting their visas from Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

Besides Pakistan and hosts India teams from Sri Lanka, England, Australia and West Indies will participate in the World Cup, which is expected to be the one of the greatest cricketing events in the world of legal professionals and judges.

The previous World Cups were held in Hyderabad, India 2007, Cambridge, England 2209 and the Barbados islands in the Caribbean 2011.
