Karachi: Pakistan got off to a flying start at the Men’s World Teams Championship when they outclassed Russia 30 in their opening match in Mulhouse, France.
According to information made available here, Farhan Zaman drew first victory for the side when he outsmarted Alexander Shilov 113, 112 and 111 in just 16 minutes.
Nasir Iqbal too faced little difficulty in outwitting Valery Litvinko in straight games.
The Pakistan youngster took just 20 minutes in earning 116, 111 and 113 win against his Russian counterpart.
Saquib Yousaf sealed the 30 win for Pakistan when he overcame Dimitry Grishanin 117, 118 and 115 in 33 minutes.
Following the easy triumph, Pakistan faced an uphill task as they are scheduled to meet hosts France in their second group C games.
As many as 32 teams from all around the world are taking part in the competition that will continue till June 15.
