Stakeholders present recommendations, formulas in CNG policy guidelines committee meeting

Islamabad: All the stakeholders on Wednesday presented their recommendations and formulas for determination of CNG price in the meeting of special committee created by ECC on policy guidelines for CNG sector and CNG consumer price. Federal Law Minister, Farooq H. Naek chaired the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion Minister said that in today’s meeting all the stakeholders presented their recommendations and formulas for determination of CNG price. The Minister said that he himself, Advisor to Prime Minister on Petroleum, Dr. Asim Hussain, Cabinet Secretary and Petroleum Secretary will discuss these inputs and issue the policy guidelines to OGRA.

He also added that hardships being faced by the consumers and the reservations of the CNG Associations will be given due consideration in the determination of these guidelines. Very soon, this Committee will come up with the proposal which is acceptable to all and resolve this matter forever, he added.

Advisor to Prime Minister on Petroleum, Dr. Asim Hussain, Secretary Ministry of Petroleum Waqar Masood, Ghiyas Paracha, Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association, Abdul Sami Khan Chairman CNG Association, Malik Khuda Baksh Chairman CNG Station Owners Association, Sameer Gulzar Executive Member FPCCI, Nadeem Iqbal representative of Network for Consumers Complaints, Farida Rashid President of ICCCI, Huma Siddique, Representative of Consumer Rights Commission of Pakistan were present in the meeting.
