Strict checking of suspected vehicles, elements ordered

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police IGP Sindh Shahid Nadeem Baloch on Saturday directed police to perform security duties carefully and ensure strict checking at entry and exit points of the city and the province.

“The intelligence collection and sharing should be followed while actions should also be intensified against criminals and their gangs by enhancing coordination with intelligence and other law enforcement agencies,” the IGP said.

He instructed that strict eye should be kept on the suspected elements and vehicles at the entry and exit routes of the city and the province besides ensuring strict checking.

IGP said that patrolling should also be ensured at ground routes linked to other provinces, adding that strict security should be ensured at government and private public places, including mosques and temples under joint coordination of all departments.
