Naudero, Sindh: The management of SZABIST, Larkana Campus has started charging monthly transportation charges from the BBA & MBA students who belong to Naundero and commute to Larkana daily in the morning for Summer Courses in violation of President Zardari’s directions.

The management of SZABIST has directed the van driver to charge Rs2600from each student who travel daily from Naundero to Larkana to get education. These students include 05 students of BBA, 01 of MBA and 01 is studying in BS. Hence they all are seven students and the total amount comes to Rs18200 for one month.

These charges were abandoned in 2008 when the citizens of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s home town requested President Zardari to provide a van for the students of Naundero to facilitate local students. He had directed the SZABIST management to waive off all transportation charges from student of Naundero. However, the present management has started collected transportation charge from these students.

Deputy Director Muhammad Bux Soomro when contacted by the affected students said this order has been given by chancellor Azra Pechuho in a meeting held in Karachi a few days ago.

The students, however, have urged President Zardari to intervene and save them from extra charges which they cannot afford.
