Teaching, nonteaching staff members hold sit-in for the fulfilment of demands

Islamabad: Large number of teaching and non teaching staff members of different schools and colleges of Capital on Thursday held a protest and sit-in in front of National Press Club NPC for the fulfilment of demands.

Sit-in was held under the aegis of Non-Teaching Employees of Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad.

The main demands of protesters included scale of non teaching staff, health allowances and others. They said that government had promised to accept and implement these demands but couldn’t happen so far.

They have appealed to President, Prime Minister and Chief justice for implementation of their demands. They said that protest and sit-in would continue until the fulfilment of their demands.
