Karachi: Three teams of AlKhidmat Foundation Pakistan have reached and started relief work in the earthquake hit areas of Balochistan, while AlKhidmat has set up its command and control centre for rescue and relief work in Quetta.
Two teams lead by Abdul Baqi and Mujeebur Rehman rushed to Mashkhel from Quetta, while one team led by Saifullah Sanjrani from Dalbandin. A special relief desk was set up for the injured at Dalbandin Hospital.
Trucks of relief goods including dry ration, medicines, surgical equipment, tents and blankets have already been sent from Karachi, Lahore and Quetta. AlKhidmat volunteers have began full scale relief work in the affected areas, said ex-city nazim Karachi and head of AlKhidmat Niamatullah Khan Advocate, requesting philanthropists and citizens to assist the needy people of earthquake ravaged areas of Balochistan province.
