Three die, 4 children injured in jeep-truck collision in Shershah, Karachi

Karachi: At least three persons including a woman were killed and four children sustained serious injuries when a speeding truck collided with a jeep they were travelling in near Honda Company in Shershah area of Karachi early Saturday morning.

The deceased include 40-year Farooque and 35-year Razia while identity of driver, seemingly of 45-years, couldn’t be ascertained yet. The injured children are 7-year Bushra, 6-year Misbah, 5-year Yaseen and 4-year Zain. The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi by Edhi ambulances.

Apparently, the family was going out of Karachi on a long trip as they had luggage in the jeep. The accident occurred at around 5.30a.m. The rescue workers used metal cutters to take bodies and injured out of smashed vehicle.
