Three die in separate incidents

KARACHI: Three people died in different incidents in the city on Wednesday. A woman, Aneesa 20, wife of Sher Khan, a resident of Al-Asif Square, Sohrab Goth, took poisonous substance over a domestic issue that deteriorated her health. She died at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital during treatment.

Police said the woman consumed poisonous substance the other day and died at the hospital today. No FIR could be registered till filing this report.

Separately, a man, aged around 26, whose identity could not be ascertained yet, was crushed to death by a speeding train while crossing the railway track near Port Qasim, Landhi Town, within the jurisdiction of Landhi Railway police station.

The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.

Similarly, 55-year-old man, Liaquat Ali, son of Muhammad Abbas, was killed in a road mishap within the remit of Awami Colony police station.

He was crossing the road near Singer Chowrangi when a speeding vehicle hit him to death on the spot. The body was moved to JPMC for a postmortem.
