Three including two religious leaders gunned down in Karachi

Karachi: Three persons including two religious leaders were gunned down by target killers near Nursery Bridge on Shahrah-e-Faisal here on Thursday.

Sources said armed men riding on a motorcycle opened fire on a vehicle bearing registration number CG-7956 on Shahrah e Faisal near Nursery Flyover in the limit of Tipu Sultan Police Station.

Three people including seminary teacher of Madrasa Jamia Farooqia Shah Faisal Colony, 50-years-old Mufti Abdul Majeed Dinpuri, 40-years-old Mufti Muhammad Saleh and their 33-years-driver years old Hassan Ali Shah died on spot.

The rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem.

However, tension gripped in the city after spread of news of incident. Some miscreants resorted to aerial firing in different areas of city including Shah Faisal Colony, Gurumandir, Lasbela, Nagan Chowrangi and other parts of the city.
