Karachi: At least three were killed and three others injured in a big explosion near Sohrab Goth in the limits of Sohrab Goth police station on Wednesday.
The initial reports suggested that the bomb was planted in a vehicle parked near an abandoned building Indus Plaza, presently used as a drug den, in Sikandar Goth area behind Al-Asif Square.
Rescue sources said three people died and three others injured in the blast. Police and rangers cordoned off the area. A large number of people gathered there and they were removed from the site as police feared another explosion might occur.
Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan took serious notice of the incident and sought detailed report from the police.
