Three killed in different mishaps

KARACHI: Three people, including a minor girl, were killed and one other was injured in different incidents in the city on Tuesday.

A 45yearold man, Salahuddin, son of Akram, was killed and Adnan 20, son of Azizurrehman, was injured by unidentified armed men in Chakiwara, Lyari Town, within the remit of Napier police station.

The body and injured were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi CHK for medicolegal formalities and treatment. Police said both were the residents of New Saeedabad area and they were going somewhere when the incident took place.

Separately, a 53yearold man, Raees, son of Muhammad Younis, was killed in a clash with a man near Jigar Muradabadi Road, Jamsheed Town, within the jurisdiction of Jamsheed Quarter police station.

The body was moved to CHK for an autopsy.

Jamsheed Quarter police said Raees received serious injuries when an alleged criminal Jamil alias Mota hit him with an stone during clash. The man died on the way to the hospital. The police have registered FIR number 334/2013 under section 302 against Jamil, son of Khalil Ahmed, on the behalf of victim’s brother. The police also arrested the criminal.

A six-year old girl, Sumera, the daughter of Mubin Khan, was electrocuted in Rehri Goth, Landhi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre JMC for an autopsy.
