Training workshop titled “news reading in digital age’ starts at PBC HQs Islamabad

A four-day training workshop on "News Reading in Digital Age" started at National Broadcasting House of Radio Pakistan in Islamabad on Thursday.

Director News and Current Affairs Javed Khan Jadoon was chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, he said objective of the workshop is to educate the news readers of Radio Pakistan about latest technology and skills to meet the challenges of the digital age.

He said Radio Pakistan is the mother of all media institutions and a number of news readers, artists and media professionals trained by Radio Pakistan are performing their responsibilities in different media organizations of the country in an excellent way.

The Director News said Radio Pakistan is also performing well on the social media. Javed Khan Jadoon said Radio Pakistan Twitter account has more than 350,000 followers while its followers on Facebook are more than 2.4 million and their number is multiplying day by day.

He said the news studios of Radio Pakistan have been fully digitized. The Director News further said Radio Pakistan's news bulletins are video streamed on Facebook.

About thirty male and female news readers are participating in the workshop. They will be trained by senior news professionals and news readers during the workshop.
