Two Turkish bikers Taskin Yurdakadim and Polat Ozen, who are on a world tour, reached Lahore on Wednesday. The Punjab Sports Board accorded a warm welcome to the bikers when they arrived at the National Hockey Stadium.

Both bikers were delighted about their journey in Pakistan, which started when they entered Balochistan from Iran.

They were quite happy and satisfied with the security arrangements made for them.

Meanwhile, Punjab sports minister Rana Mashood, who received them, said the Turkish bikers would also take part in a grand motor sports event, which was being staged in Murree on Sept 5.

He said some bikers from Australia would also be competing there.

Meanwhile, giving details about the upcoming Murree motor sports event, Sports Board director general Usman Anwar said around 170 bikers from Punjab and a large number of sports men from around the country would participate in it.

The bikers from Australia and other countries had also showed their interest for participation, he added.
