Twin-cites receive rain, cold intensity increased

Islamabad: Different parts of the country including Islamabad and Rawalpindi have received heavy rain which increased the intensity of cold. Snowfall over the hills was also reported on Thursday.

According to Met Office upper and central parts of Punjab‚ Balochistan‚ Khyber Pakhtunkhwa‚ Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan have also received intermittent rains. It said the spell of moderate to light rain will continue till Friday morning. Khuzdar has received highest rain of 25 mm and Karachi 18 mm, he added.

There were also reports of snowfall in Kalaam‚ Malam Jabba Murree and Galiyat. This spell of snowfall is expected to continue till Saturday. Intensity of cold will further increase in upper and central parts of the country during the next two days.
