Two alleged terrorists among four killed in Karachi

Karachi: Four people, including two alleged terrorists were killed in city on Tuesday. Two suspects terrorists were killed in encounter with police and their three accomplice managed to escape in the cover firing, claimed police.

Station House Officer SHO Peerabad police station Abdul Moeed said five alleged terrorists on bikes attacked on police patrolling mobile in Kunwari Colony, Manghopir area of the city. The police also retaliated in which two terrorists were killed and three others managed to flee from the scene, he added. The identity of victims could not be ascertained yet.

The bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medicolegal formalities.

The police also recovered two pistols, two hand grenades and a bike from their possession.

Separately, an elderly man was gunned down by unknown assailants in Metroville, SITE area of the city, within the jurisdiction of SITEA police station. The victim was identified as Muhammad Tahir 72, son of Muhammad Rafiq.

The body was moved ASH for an autopsy. SITEA police said victim received two bullets on his upper torso and died before he could be taken to hospital. Police the deceased was resident of Raheem Shah Colony, Orangi Town and suspected that might be killed over old enmity.

Similarly, a 50yearold man, Malik Shamshad, son of Malik Sajjad was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Orangi Town No.5 within the remit of Orangi police station, said Chippa sources.

The body was brought to ASH for postmortem.
