Two die in road mishap

Karachi: Two persons, including a girl, were killed in road mishaps in the city on Thursday. A 55-year-old Manzoor Khawar, son of Ausaf Ahmed was crushed to death by fast-moving passenger bus of route-4 bearing registration number JA-5901, near Nazimabad No. 7, within the jurisdiction of Nazimabad police station. The driver fled from the scene.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).

Police said victim was going somewhere on his motorcycle when accident took place. The police impounded the bus.

Separately, a 16-year-old Fatima Saeed, daughter of Muhammad Saeed, was killed when a speeding truck hit their bike near Star Gate, Shahrah-e-Faisal, within the remit of Airport police station. The other pillion rider was injured.

The truck driver managed to flee. The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
