Two gunned down; girl found dead in Karachi

Karachi: Two people were gunned down and the body of a girl was found from Orangi Town area of the city on Monday. A 35-year-old man Ayaz, son of Muhammad Yousuf, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Masoomeen Hospital, Musa Lane, Lyari Town, within the remit of Baghdadi police station.

The body was moved to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.

Baghdadi police said Ayaz was sitting outside the hospital when two armed men on a bike targeted him and left him seriously injured. He was shifted to a hospital where he died during treatment, police added.

Police have registered an FIR number 278/2013 under section 302 and 34 against unknown killers, and started further investigation.

Separately, a man was shot dead and other was injured in firing by unidentified armed men in Altaf Nagar, Orangi Town, said rescue sources. The dead was identified as Ghulam Nabi, 60, son of Yar Muhammad, while the injured could not be identified yet.

The body and injured were moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy and treatment, respectively.

Similarly, the body of a girl, whose identity could not be ascertained yet, was found form Orangi Town No.8, within the remit of Orangi police station. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.
