Two killed in separate mishaps

KARACHI: Two people were killed in different mishaps in the city on Thursday.

A laborer, Punhal, 25, son of Saeed Khan, fell from the roof of an under construction building while working near Madras Bakery, Sakhi Hassan and died within the jurisdiction of Taimuria police station.

The body was moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

Separately, a man, aged around 40, whose identity could not be ascertained yet, was killed in a road mishap near Anda Morr Intersection, North Nazimabad, within the remit of Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police station.

The man was crossing the road when a speeding vehicle hit him to death.

The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Muhammad Usman and 17-year-old Umair were wounded in a firing incident by unidentified armed men in New Karachi No. 5.

The injured were rushed to ASH for treatment, where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
