Two more dengue fever cases detected in Karachi

Karachi: Two more dengue viral fever cases were detected in Karachi on Saturday raising the number of such cases to 296 reported this year in the city, said Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.

Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh Dr. M Shakeel Aamir Mullick said a total of 305 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province since January 2013 of them 296 in Karachi and nine in rest of the province.

He said two dengue patients expired in Karachi this year.

He further said 14 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Karachi. Two new cases have been reported in Karachi on 22th June.

Seven patients were also discharged from hospitals after treatment on Saturday.
