UN: UNHCR to continue assisting Afghan refugees‚ host Pakistanis

Islamabad: The United Nation High Commission for Refugee Agency reiterated its commitment to continue assisting Afghan refugees and Pakistani host communities through joint projects under the Refugee Affected and Hosting Areas initiative.

This was stated by the UN Refugee Agency’s Director of the Bureau for Asia & the Pacific Ms. Daisy Dell‚ while inaugurating a vocational training centre established for Pakistani and Afghan women in Haripur on Tuesday. She said UNHCR will continue to support the refugees for as long as they stay in Pakistan.
