Update News: Nine killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Nine people, including three women, were killed in different acts of violence in the city on Tuesday.

The bodies of two men, aged around 25 to 30, were found in Mewa Shah Graveyard in Pak Colony area within the jurisdiction of Pak Colony police station. The identity of the victims could not be ascertained yet. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medicolegal formalities.

In another incident, a 25yearold man, Rashid, son of Saeed Aamir, was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Orangi Town No 15. The body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital ASH for a postmortem.

Separately, a 30yearold man, Abdul Sattar, son of Hassan Khan, was killed in firing by unidentified armed men in Nankwara area of Saddar Town. The body was brought to CHK for an autopsy.

A 33yearold woman, Zarina, wife of Akbar, was axed to death by unidentified armed men in Shah Latif Town, Street No. 12 within the remit of Shah Latif police station. The body was moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre JPMC for an autopsy.

The body of a woman bearing torture marks was found from inside her house in Abidabad area of Badia Town within the precincts of Mochko police station. The victim was identified as Rabia 23, daughter of Tariq Rahim. The body was shifted to CHK for medicolegal formalities.

A 60yearold woman, Kulsoom, was strangulated to death at her house in Hussainabad area of Azizabad within the limits of Azizabad police station. The body was moved to ASH for an autopsy.

A 35yearold man, Ghulam Muhammad, resident Agra Taj Colony, Lyari Town, was killed in firing by unidentified armed men in Memon Goth, Malir Town, within the limit of Memon Goth police station.

The body was moved to JPMC for a postmortem.

A man, whose identity could be ascertained yet, was killed in firing by unknown assailants in Pakhtoonabad area of Manghopir, within the remit of Pirabad police station.

The body was brought to ASH for medico legal formalities.
