Peshawar: Ummah Welfare Trust, a charitable organisation has initiated distribution of Ramzan package in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The food package worth of Rs.300million will be distributed among deserving and militancy hit people of from Waziristan agency and neighbouring Afghanistan. The package weighting 2915 ton, was containing 20 Kilogram flour, five Kg sugar, ghee, pulses, and other daily usage commodities.
According to the trust spokesman, Syed Imran Khan said that the Ramzan package is being distributing among deserving people, including orphan, widows, disabled and calamity affected from Waziristan agency, Afghanistan and rest of part of the country.
He informed that the trust has developed a database of deserving people to keep fairness and transparency in distribution of the food package. For the purpose, he said that a registration cards were being issued to deserving people, which will collect food items at designed points as per scheduled.
Imran Khan said that a special volunteer team has been constituted, which would be assigned duties to take care and help elderly people at the food distribution points. The trust, he added that, had initiated food distribution process in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which will be started as per scheduled at Ummah Children Academy.
He informed that the trust would also distribute Eid gift among more than 1,000 orphan children of the academy. The orphan children, on the occasion, has extended special gratitude to the trust Chairman, Maulana Mohammad Idress, praised the role of the trust for provision of education free education facility and catering needs of families as well.
