2 killed, 3 injured in tribal clash

Khairpur, Sindh: Two people were killed while three others including a woman injured in a clash between two groups of Gopang community, near here on Sunday. The clash started at village Hashim Gopang in the jurisdiction of Tharimirwah police station. Both groups opened firing on each other with sophisticated weapons. As a result two men, Hatim Ali Gopang and Sajjad Ali Gopang s/o Samander Khan Gopang died on the spot while three people including a woman Ms Gulan Gopang w/o Samander Khan were injured.

The bodies and injured were brought to taluka hospital Tharimirwah where condition of Gulan was stated critical. Police said the cause of clash was old enmity. They said situation is now under control and bodies were handed over to heirs after medico legal formalities.
