41pc Pakistanis say they are satisfied with Pakistan’s economic situation: Poll

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 41% Pakistanis say they are satisfied with Pakistan’s economic situation.

A nationally representative sample of men and women, from across the four provinces was asked “Please tell us, how satisfied or unsatisfied are you with Pakistan’s economic situation?” In response, 11% said they are very satisfied, 30% said they are somewhat satisfied and 34% said they are somewhat unsatisfied. 19% said they are very unsatisfied and 6% did not respond.

The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2674 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during Sep 30, 2013 – Oct 07, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
