50th National D-Day sports festival held (The Nation (Pakistan))

The Sports Promotion Society(SPS-Pak) and Human Anti-narcotics Drug Society have organised a Sports Festival Programme in Minto Park Ground to celebrate of 50th Defence Day in collaboration with of Pakistan Tenshinkan Karate Federation, Aus-Pak Education System, Punjab Olympic Association (POA), Pakistan Sports Promoters (PSP), Punjab Aids Consortium, Aus-Pak International and Pakistan Lions Youth Council.

A colorful march past and aerobics demonstration was also presented.

In the festival, cricket, athletics, football, badminton, gymnastics and karate competitions were held.

Faizan Amjad, Gulraiz Shahid and Zaid Nadeem were declared the best players.

Chief organizer Prof Faisal Fayyaz said: Sports teach young men the value of patriotism, tolerance, obedience, discipline and co-operation.
