AIG for launching road safety campaign

KARACHI: Additional Inspector General AIG Traffic Ghulam Qadir Thebo has directed DIG Traffic Karachi to launch a road safety campaign to avert accidents in the metropolis.

He said that college students and social organizations be included in the campaign while awareness should also be raised among citizens about road safety measures like wearing helmets during bike driving, complying signals, avoiding over speeding and overtaking.

“The citizens should also be asked to implement the road safety rules. The encroachments along roads should be removed so that pedestrians could be saved from road accidents,” he added.
