Alamgir Gym, Pakistan CC cruise into cricket tourney semis

Karachi: Alamgir Gymkhana thrashed Sakhi Hassan Gymkhana by nine wickets meanwhile Pakistan Cricket Club also recorded identical victory against Orangi Muslim Cricket Club and qualified for the semifinals of KCCA Zone VI Blue Top Trophy Cricket Tournament.

Batting first Sakhi Hassan Gymkhana scored 200 runs losing all of their wickets in 34.3 overs at Sakhi Hassan Gymkhana Ground. Zeeshan Akhtar and Mujeebullah top scored for the side with each scoring 37 runs. Sheraz Hussain bowled lethally and captured a four-wicket haul. Muhammad Waqas took three wickets.

In response, Alamgir Gymkhana achieved the victory target with nine wickets in hand in only 19 overs. Ahsan Ali played a brilliant and unbeaten 106-run knock. Jaahid Ali also batted well scoring 71 runs.

Meanwhile, in the other quarterfinal encounter here at KCCA Stadium, Orangi Muslim Cricket Club batted first and were all bowled out for a measly total of 104 runs in 21.1 overs. Syed Kamran Ali top scored for the side with 29 runs. Fawad Khan impressively and captured five wickets for only 12 runs.

In reply, Pakistan Cricket Club easily achieved the target in 9.1 overs, losing only a single wicket. Fakhar Zaman played an unbeaten 54-run knock for the winning team.
