Amina Syed awarded Arts award

Islamabad: Amina Syed, head of Oxford University Press in Pakistan has been awarded “The Knighthood of the Order of Arts and Letters” one of the most prestigious awards of France for her contribution to promote book culture in Pakistan.

Famous poet, critic and scholar Dr. Khurshid Rizvi has also been awarded by Ahmed Faraz Trust for his literary achievements.

Abdul Hameed, Chairman, Pakistan Academy of Letters PAL has expressed his warm emotions of satisfaction and honor over these awards and sent his congratulations to the awardees.

He said that these awards have contributed in uplifting the repute of the country worldwide. On this occasion ZaheerudDin Malik, Director General, PAL also congratulated the awardees.
