Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif says the Prime Minister’s letter for appointment of new Chief of Army Staff has been communicated to GHQ by the defense ministry.

Speaking in the National Assembly, he said the process of appointment of new Army Chief will be completed in a couple of days.

The Defence Minister said appointment of army chief is a routine matter, requesting media to refrain from creating unnecessary hype on it.
