Karachi: The Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh on Thursday released area-wise detail of dengue viral fever cases occurred in the city from January 2013 to date.
According to the data obtained, out of 398 cases, the most of dengue fever cases were reported in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, North Nazimabad, New Karachi and Orangi Towns.
The town-wise detail of dengue fever cases reported since January 2013 is: 5 cases were reported in Lyari Town, 33 in Saddar Town, 14 in Jamsheed Town, 12 in Gadap Town, 32 in SITE Town, 9 in Keamari Town, 03 in Shah Faisal Town, 12 in Korangi Town, 04 in Landhi Town, 05 in Bin Qasim, 07 in Malir Town, 47 in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, 15 in Liaquatabad Town, 57 in North Nazimabad, 01 in Gulberg Town, 56 in New Karachi Town, 53 in Orangi Town and 10 in Baldia Town.
Only 19 dengue fever cases were reported in Cantonment Board Clifton while no case reported in five other cantonment areas of Karachi. The area of four dengue fever cases was not available with Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
