Army continues rescue operation in flood hit areas (The Balochistan Times (Pakistan))

Pakistan Army continued to provide assistance to flood hit people in Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajan Pur districts on Tuesday where affected people were being provided food, ration and medical facilities.

Soldiers continued to shift stranded people to safer places by helicopters while distribution of ration was also in progress, says a release issued by ISPR Multan on Tuesday.

Multan Corps soldiers shifted 126 stranded people to safer places in Layyah while another 158 were provided medical facilities at the Army free medical camp.

In Dera Ghazi Khan, 206 people were provided free medical treatment facilities and medicines, the release concluded.
