ATC remands SP, DSPs CID for 7 days

QUETTA: Anti Terrorism Court remanded SP CID, two DSPS to police for seven days. According to details FC had arrested SP CID Tariq Manzoor, DSP Qutub Khan and DSP Bilal Ahmed back in a raid on CID Police Station here two days back on charges of their involvement in abduction for ransom. FC had also recovered a man Abdu Quddus abducted form Noshki during the raid and Rupees 2.5 million ransom money from CID Police Station.

Capital City Police Officer Zuber Mahmood had confirmed their arrest saying that that after completion of investigation it was revealed that SP and two DSPs were involved in abduction for ransom. They were handed over to police.

Today these officers were produced in the Anti Terrorism Court and court handed them to police on seven days physical remand.

Meanwhile law enforcement agencies have begun investigation against SHOs of all police stations for their possible involvement in abduction for ransom cases and verification of record. It has sent a wave of concern among the staff.
