Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq says the government is focused on addressing the current debt situation and has accepted the challenge.

He was addressing a high-level seminar in Islamabad, organized by Ministry of Economic Affairs in collaboration with UN Development Programme to initiate policy discussion and propose recommendations for the government.

The minister said the seminar is aimed at deliberating the existing and regional economic scenarios with relevance to Pakistan with particular focus on current debt situation and challenges posed by it.

He said the government is taking provinces into confidence to resolve both short-term and long-term issues.
