QUETTA: Problems of Balochistan would be resolved through dialogues not by force. There exists religious issue besides politics in the province. Unless recovery of mutilated dead bodies is stopped problems would not be resolved by talks.
These views were expressed by Balochistan chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while speaking to a private TV channel.
He said we have to exercise restraint and not emotions. He after death of Nawab Akbar Bugti situation became worst in Balochistan and a war started. He said how many people are missing is not possible. He said when he visited missing persons camp he was told that 13 thousand people are missing while according to Supreme Court commission this number stands at 96 thousand.
He said he was ready for talks with everyone. But recovery of mutilated dead bodies is important issue. Hundreds of thousands of people have migrated from Dera Bugti. They have been brought back to their areas. He said unless problems are resolved situation would not be improved.
Dr Malik Baloch said it is fact situation in Quetta is bad for long time. It needs time to improve the situation. He said dialogues are necessary for resolving problems. He said he enjoys full support of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for resolving Balochistan problem and he wishes it should be resolved at the earliest.
Answering a question he said economy and education in Balochistan is totally collapsed. It needs to be improved. He said good governance in Balochistan was deteriorating. He said we have prepared a detailed report for talks which would be sent to Prime Minister. According to strategy adopted in this report this work would be carried out gradually.
He said if anyone is arrested he should be punished according to Constitution of Pakistan. No one would have any objection to it.
He said terrorist act occurred in Quetta; security forces personnel laid down their lives to avert it. Had they not done this losses had much more.
