Body of molested schoolgirl found from beach

KARACHI: A mutilated body of a minor girl, who was allegedly murdered after rape, was recovered from beach here on Thursday.

Police recovered the body of the 13yearold girl wearing school uniform from SeaView beach. The victim was later identified as Neha, daughter of Riasat. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre JPMC for an autopsy.

Police said that the child was kidnapped from Azizabad on 24 September. However, sources said the kidnappers had demanded Rs1mn ransom.

A case has been registered at the Azizabad police station and further probe started.

Sources said that the victim was raped and then murdered. She was a student of Grade four and wearing her school uniform when her body was found.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad took a serious notice of the assault and killing of the schoolgirl.

He ordered the IGP to conduct probe and send him investigation report. He asked the IGP and Commissioner Karachi that security should be provided to bereaved family.

Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro also took serious notice of the murder of the student of a private school of Karachi.

He ordered an inquiry and sought report from Additional IGP Karachi.

He directed to the concerned SSP that he should conduct inquiry and submit report immediately.
