Karachi: S. M. Muneer, President India-Pakistan Joint Chambers of Commerce and industry (IPCCI) and former President FPCCI has extended his heartiest congratulations to Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif for assuming the office of Prime Minister for the third time, which is the evidence of substantial trust and confidence in him reposed by the people of Pakistan and his party.
He said that the people of Pakistan and particularly the business community have great hope in Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif’s dynamic leadership and are sure that his Government would put in all efforts in re-structuring the internal system of the country to compete at international level with its competitors. It would also implement a stronger and efficient law and order system to combat the ongoing terrorist threats to our country, which has destabilized its morale, economy, tourism and the value of precious human life.
He hoped that the new Government would steer the country out of the present crisis by taking concrete steps and initiating business friendly policies for ensuring uninterrupted supply of electricity and gas to industry for enhancing export and sustainable economic growth.
Muneer was confident that having the vision, proven track record, and an experienced and competent team to fulfill the dream of the people of Pakistan, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif’s Government will set out a realistic and sound framework for pulling back the nation from the edge of abyss. The new Government would set out the economic agenda to address the challenges and seize the opportunities to diversify and strengthen our economy to secure long term success and economic prosperity, he added.
Muneer lauded and appreciated the statement of Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif that his Government will focus attention on the development and promotion of regional trade for economic integration within the region and particularly with India.
Notwithstanding, the challenges are extensive, but the Government by working in partnership with industry, will be able to meet them. He extended business community’s full support and to work together to bring the country out of uncertainty and to shape the future.
