Cases registered against Chairman HDP, 4 others

QUETTA: Cases have been registered against chairman Hazara Democratic Party Abdul Khaliq Hazara and four others for injuring seven persons here Saturday.

According to details, Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat activists staged a dharna in front of civil hospital and blockade of road here today following injuries to seven activities in firing.

Speaking on the occasion Ahle Sunnat leaders said terrorists tried to sabotage our peaceful shutter down today and injured our seven activists. We strongly protest it. They alleged after firing terrorists escaped in police vehicle. They warned if action against us continued under government patronage we would not sit silent. They said we are peaceful people and if any one took our protest as weakens then we would defend our activists.

Later DIG Operations came to there and held talks with them. On their insistence DIG assured registration of cases against Abdul Khaliq Hazara and four others and assured action against SHO Thana City.

After successful talks Ahle Sunnat leaders announced to call off dharna and ended road blockade.
