Islamabad: Chairman Capital Development Authority CDA Nadeem Hassan Asif has said that CDA will utilize all available resources to maintain the polio free status of Islamabad and will try to achieve hundred percent coverage during upcoming Polio campaign.
Chairing a meeting of Islamabad Polio Eradication Committee on Wednesday he said Islamabad has been a polio free city since 2008 which is an honour for the authority but we need sheer hard work to maintain this status.
He said that all available resources would be provided to Directorate of Health Services so that upcoming Polio Eradication campaign could be turned into a complete success.
He said Islamabad Police will depute highly qualified‚ trained‚ motivated and dedicated staff to provide security to the Polio teams and throughout the campaign their presence will be ensured. He directed Director Health Services to ensure that during campaign 1‚ 31‚ 000 children residing in the Federal Capital should be administered with polio drops.
Director Health Services apprised the meeting that operationally Islamabad has been divided into sixteen zones and 88 areas and more than 500 polio teams will be mobilized during door to door campaign to cover each and every child.
