Commissioner Kohat strictly directs high ups of concerned civil administration for security of Kohat Jail

Peshawar: Commissioner Kohat Division, Syed Jamaluddin Shah has strictly directed the high ups of the concerned civil administration and security agencies to be red alert for the security of Kohat Jail and other sensitive installations and carry out crackdown against the anti-state elements in the entire division.

He issued these directives while chairing a high level meeting regarding the security of Kohat Jail and other sensitive installations in Kohat Division on Thursday.

The meeting beside others, was also attended by the DIG Kohat Dr. Ishtiaq Marwat, DC Kohat Saadat Hassan, PA Orakzai Agency, Superintendent Kohat Jail and authorities concerned of the Security Agencies.

The meeting thoroughly debated upon the overall law and order situation in Kohat Division and made certain decisions in this respect.

The commissioner emphasized the need for close coordination, better intelligence sharing and joint efforts for lasting peace and foolproof security of the government installations. He asked the highups of Police to deploy security personnel on the vacant buildings of schools, hospitals and other government institutions during the holidays and night time keeping in view the present critical situation.

Syed Jamaluddin Shah maintained that the Regional Police Officers should have access to the computerized data of all citizens particularly Afghan Refugees in the present scenario and said that he would personally talk to the quarters concerned in this regard.

He added that details of the properties of Afghan Refugees in Kohat should also be provided to the administration as well as police. He also asked the vigilance committees to keep close liaison with the concerned SHOs so as the security agencies could easily initiate steps for maintaining peace in the region.
