CPNE announces skill development committee

Karachi: Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors CPNE has announced a skill development committee for the overall improvement in the efficiency of available man power of its member publications.

According to a press release issued here Monday by Aamer Mahmood, Secretary General, CPNE, M/S Ghulam Nabi Chandio Daily PAK and Mukhtar Aqil Daily Jurrat have been appointed Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the committee respectively. The other members of the committee are Ilyas Shakir Daily Qaumi Akhbar Qazi Asad Abid Daily Ibrat Owais Aslam Ali Monthly Economic Out Look Hamid Hussain Abidi-Daily AMN, Doctor Jabbar Khattak-Daily Awami Awaz Abdul Khaliq Marshal-On Line News Agency, Qazi Sajjad Akbar-Daily Regional Times Rehmat Ali Razi, Weekly AZM Wasim Ahmad-Daily Awam Tahir Farooq-Daily Jihad Athar Hashmi-Daily Jasarat Arif Baloch-Daily Balochistan Express Nasir Dad Baloch-Sind Sujagg Yunus Mehar -Daily Halchal Usman Arab Sathi-Monthly Watan Mag Muhammad Ashraf Qureshi-Daily Hurmat, Mashooq Ali Jatoi-Daily Fast Times Ghulam Rabbani-Daily City News Fauzia Shaheen, Monthly Dastak and Kamran Rizvi-Daily Nawa-e-Sind.

CPNE Skill development Committee shall work for providing training to existing staff of the various sections of newspaper industry and to introduce them with new trends in journalism.

Moreover the committee shall also work to evolve and implement a strategy for training and development of human resources available in the editorial, circulation and marketing fields of the newspapers.
