Demand to complete lingering projects

Naudero: The District Hindu Panchayat of Larkana & Kambar-Shahdadkot districts has drawn the attention of concerned authorities towards the remaining development projects of the area.

In an application addressed to MNA Faryal Talpur, Secretary General Lokchand G. Jung, of the Panchayat, cited as many as nine remaining projects which have not yet been completed despite passage of years.

His application was handed over to Larkana Division Commissioner Dr. Saeed Mangnejo who visited the sites two days before along with XEN Works & Services, Larkana Shoukat Shaikh.

The Secretary General has demanded that Government Girls College, and

Government Boys Higher Secondary School-2 may be opened as the building of the school is completed and furniture is lying idle. The work on girls’ college has been lingering for last two years for which the contractor should be asked to expedite it with provision of required funds.

Lokchand further demanded that quarters constructed for the poor in Jogi Muhalla may be completed and handed over to the poor people of the area and added that drain & roads work in the same area has only been 40% completed and remaining work should be expedited. He also demanded gas connections to the same locality which has already been sanctioned.

Panchayat Secretary General further said in his application that survey work started in 1996 in Naundero should also be completed so that kachi abadis of the town be regularized. Town Hall work should also be completed so that people of the town could get its benefit.

He further said that last government had approved a scheme to establish green belt around Naundero from Sukkur bypass railway crossing to Naundero Sugar Mills on both sides bypass roads which should be started. He said a big public park must also be established in the town.
