Islamabad: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that the government has initiated a record number of mega development projects during the four and half years for the wellbeing of the common man despite financial constraints.
These socio-economic initiatives would bring a positive change in the lifestyle of the people particularly living in remote and backward areas of the country.
He expressed these views while talking to a group of Parliamentarians who called on him at the Prime Minister’s House here Friday.
The Prime Minister said that it was the first time in our history that the present government introduced a culture of reconciliation in national politics and took along all the political forces on issues of national importance which helped steering the country out of challenges in befitting manners.
He said that due to prudent policies of the government, the democratic institutions were flourishing in the country. He said that the democratic norms introduce by the present government would go a long way for the overall progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan.
The Parliamentarians apprised the Prime Minister about ongoing development projects in their respective areas. They also informed the Prime Minister about various issues pertaining to the people of their areas.
Those who met the Prime Minister included Minister for Climate Change, Rana Muhammad Farooq Saeed Khan, Senator and Chief Whip Mr. Islamuddin Shaikh, MNAs Capt (R) Rai Ghulam Mujtaba Kharral, Mr. Aftab Shaban Mirani, Mr. Mehboob Ullah Jan, Mr. Najamuddin Khan, Mr. Lal Muhammad Khan, Finance Minister, KPK Mr. Humayun Khan and ex.MNA Mr. Ghulam Murtaza Satti.
