Diplomatic President urges for Pak-Russia close ties for peace

Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain has emphasized the need for close collaboration between Pakistan and Russia for regional and world peace and security.

Talking to Director Federal Drug Control Service of Russian Federation Viktor P. Ivanov here Thursday‚ he noted that diplomatic relations between the two countries have seen encouraging growth in the past few years due to bilateral contacts at various levels between the two countries.

Mamnoon Hussain said the government is actively involved with UN and other international counternarcotics partners to combating narco trade and drug trafficking.

He said there is a dire need for joint efforts to completely eliminate illicit drugs and narcotics.
