District: Sialkot’s 47 places declare sensitive

Sialkot: As many as 47 places in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils have been declared sensitive in a bid to avert any untoward incident under a foolproof security plan chalked out by the Sialkot police for Muharram. Out of these 47 sensitive points, 30 places have been included in A Category and 17 in B category.

Sialkot District Coordination Officer (DCO) Iftikhar Ali Sahu told media persons that as many as 1255 Majaalis would be held in Sialkot district till 5th Muharram amid tight security, out of which 163 Majaalis would be of A category, 97 B category and 995 of C category.

During this period, 334 Muharram processions would be taken out in Sialkot district out of which 104 processions would be licensed and 230 would be traditional ( 65 processions have been included in A category , 91 in B category and 178 in C category.
