ECP to hold a meeting on security plan for elections on Thursday

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan ECP has convened a meeting of provincial governments‚ ministry of defence and interior on Thursday to discuss security plan for the elections.

According to report, ECP had already ordered provincial and federal governments to provide foolproof security to the contesting candidates and specially the leadership of political parties.

President Asif Ali Zardari has also asked Chief Election Commissioner to play proactive role in providing foolproof security to candidates and leadership of political parties.
