Five doctors performing dual jobs

RATODERO: Five doctors of Benazir Bhutto Youth Development Program BBYDP working under 5th phase Health are performing dual jobs in Larkana since 2010. They were employed by BBYDP in 2009.

According to a letter sent on 21st May, 2013 by the Project Director, Dr Muhammad Sabir Memon, to the Principal of the Chandka Medical College, Larkana, for verification of the said information. These doctors include Dr Sikandar Ali Magsi son of Muhammad Hassan Magsi, CNIC No: 4320515175513, PMDC Registration No: 44523S, Dr Rukhsana Shaikh daughter of Haji Sodho Khan Shaikh, CNIC No: 4320381125232, PMDC Regn. No: 42409S, Dr. Amir Ali son of Ahmed Bux Shaikh, CNIC 4320801292853, PMDC No: 53229S, Dr. Asma Naz daughter of Hazbullah Unar her CNIC & PMDC registration numbers are not given in the letter and Dr. Sania Bhatti daughter of Nisar Ahmed Bhatti, CNIC No: 430313233114, PMDC Regn. No: 46611S.

The Project Director in his letter has said that these doctors are working as Doctor Tutor under Programme Management Unit of BBYDP Health since 2009 and he has further earnestly requested the Principal to inform whether these doctors are working under your institution as Demonstrators as well.

He has further said that if these doctors are working their full particulars like full name, F/name, CNIC Number, designation, date of joining & place of posting, monthly salary etc may be communicated to his office for taking further necessary action but the CMC Principal has not so far sent the reply of this letter which also strengthens the assertions that these doctors have also been employed by the Benazir Bhutto Medical University authorities of Larkana as Demonstrators and directed them to work under CMC.

In this way these doctors are performing dual government jobs which are forbidden under the law of the land and drawing two salaries from two different institutions. This also proves that they belong to very influential families. Reliable sources told Newsmen that these doctors were employed by BBMU authorities in 2010 on the recommendation of a former minister and are still working there without leaving BBYDP job where they also did not perform their duties but kept on obtaining their attendance monthly from the CMC Hospital authorities for drawing salaries.

The citizens of Larkana have been raising objections and alleging for injustices and corruption in distribution of jobs by the PPP government during their past tenure and this single incident has proved them correct. On the one hand some people were given more than one job and on the other hand MBA pass and highly qualified youth is still without proper jobs which

should be thoroughly probed, the people of Larkana have demanded of the authorities.
