FUUAST starts doctorate admissions in computer dept

KARACHI: Vice Chancellor Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology FUUAST, Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal has said teachers and students will make his university an international standard institution in future through their work and research.

He expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of opening of admission in doctorate in the Department of Computer Science at Gulshan Campus. He said that he has full confidence in teachers and hope that university soon will become a top ranking academic institution.

Registrar Prof Dr Fahimuddin appreciated the performance of the department and said five young teachers having doctorate degrees; including four from foreign countries are parts of academic staff, which is a matter of pride of us.

Chairman Department of Computer Science Muhammad Siddique, Dr Adnan Nadeem, Dr Muhammad Sarim, Dr Kamran Ehsan, Dr Abdul Basit, Dr Akhtar Raza, Seema Naz Siddiqui, Prof Nasir Abbas, Dr Salman D Muhammad, Dr Tauseef Ahmed Khan, Dr Muhammad Zahid, Dr Waqarul Haq, Dr Moinuddin, Dr Irfan Haider and Dr Urooj also spoke.

The scholars of Karachi University, SPARCO, Sind Madressatul Islam University, KIET PAF and HEJ attended the ceremony.

Speakers said current this is era of science and technology and no any knowledge would be completed without computer related technologies.

The Speakers also applauded the services of founder of department Prof Muhammad Saeed.
