Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan Ch Muhammad Birjees Tahir Monday visited the Embassies of the victims of Diamer incident. Minster reached Chinese Embassy and shared his feelings of condolence with Chinese Ambassador. Mr. Ambassador thanked Minister for condolence and sympathy for the victims. He termed the incident a shocking tragedy and strongly condemned the attack on Climbers.
He praised the role of Pak Govt, as effective measures were taken to rescue, one surveying Chinese manage to escape the situation. He also appreciated the steps taken to send bodies back to aggrieved families. Minister wrote his comments in the condolence book.
He proceeded further to Nepal High Commission to convey his feelings to the High Commissioner. He told high commissioner that Prime Minister has especially instructed him to go and share sympathies.
Pakistan extend all kind of cooperation to the families of the deceased. The High Commissioner told the Minister that victim belonged to a very famous mountain climber tribe and at very young age he mounted K2 and Mount Everest four times each.
The Ukraine Ambassador thanked Minister for being there and sharing his sympathies with Ukrainian people at the sad demise of the climbers. He further remarked that such incident should not happen. Nobody even guessed that such kind of terrible incident can happen. The Minister said these are the aftermaths of war on terror and we will not surrender against terrorism. He further resolved that such heinous acts shall not affect our Bilateral relations and wrote his comments in condolence book
