Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said the government is providing incentives for expansion of the IT and the telecom sectors, and related exports.

Presiding over a meeting on the tax related issues of IT and telecom sector in Islamabad on Thursday, he acknowledged the role of IT and Telecommunication in overall economic development of the country.

The Minister assured that the government will extend all possible support to resolve issues pertaining to various taxes on IT and Telecom sectors for ease of doing business and facilitation of both the sectors in exports.

Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin-ul-Haq, Secretary IT & Telecom, Chairman PTA, Chairman FBR and other senior officers also attended the meeting.
